Fresh Seasonal Flower Subscription in Thunder Bay

Looking for a local, organic, fresh flower subscription in Thunder Bay? We’ve got you! Bring the beauty of fresh blooms into your home each week next summer. We are focused on highlighting stunning seasonal beauties: dahlias, lilies, and lisianthus. Our blooms are grown right here in Thunder Bay from seed, corm and tuber — free from pesticides, herbicides, etc.

Fresh flowers add a touch of natural beauty to your home and are a great gift for others. Our Thunder Bay flower subscription is designed for flower enthusiasts who appreciate quality, buying local, and convenience.

4-Week Flower Subscriptions

Flowers are a touch of luxury, a natural pampering, that brightens up a home and warms your heart. So many here in Thunder Bay believe that beautiful flowers like dahlias and lisianthus and lilies can’t be grown here, or are too hard to grow and therefore are prohibitively expensive.

We grow our flowers from seeds, tubers and corms. We don’t bring in plant plugs or already-grown plants so we can keep the costs down for you! We invest in soil health so there’s no need for artificial fertilizers. We’d rather invest in bug nets or companion planting that herbicides or insecticides. All of this helps keep our costs down.

Our flower subscription stands out by emphasizing dahlias, lilies, and lisianthus—each in their season. These tree timeless favorites are either expensive or very hard to find in local stores because they don’t travel well, have a shorter vase life than grocery retailers prefer, or are expensive to import. These blooms are known for their bold colors, delicate petals, and universal appeal.

Whether you’re new to flower subscriptions or a seasoned floral aficionado, our flower subscription makes it easy to infuse your home or office with nature’s beauty each week.

Spotlight on Our Featured Flowers

Our Thunder Bay flower subscription revolves around three star varieties: dahlias, lilies, and lisianthus. In 2025, we launched a trial 4 week dahlia subscription where we curated bouquets to highlight these luxury blooms and customers loved it!

In 2026, we plan to launch subscriptions (in their season) for lilies, dahlias, and lisianthus. If there’s interest, a grower’s choice subscription may also be offered.

Dahlias: Bold and Beautiful

Dahlias are the showstoppers of our flower subscription lineup. With their large, layered petals in shades ranging from deep crimson to sunny yellow, dahlias add instant drama to any space. In Thunder Bay, these flowers begin blooming in early August and continue through to frost.

Lilies: Timeless Elegance

So many have told us how much they love lilies, but don’t grow them because of the lily beetle pressure. We are curating our collection for double upright blooms, and for cold hardiness so we have blooms earlier in the season. We aim to have lilies in July, and a second flush later in the season in late August or September. We net all our lily beds to prevent the lily beetle from burrowing into the soil to cause problems with blooms, keep costs down for you!

These graceful blooms symbolize purity and renewal.

Lisianthus: Soft and Romantic

Lisianthus, often called “prairie gentians,” remind so many of roses, but they’re more blight, fungus, and pest resistant than roses. These delicate blooms will charm their way into your heart. For 2026, we are curating our collection for double blooms, colours preferred by brides, and trialing others to see which ones our customers love, and which ones love our climate.

By focusing on these three varieties, our 4-week flower subscriptions ensure a balanced, ever-changing experience that celebrates local floral bounty.

How Our Flower Subscription Works

Watch the blog or our social media channels once the 2026 growing season gets going for more details. We’re hoping to get an email list going so you can be the first to know when we’re launching. We are a small urban farm, so spaces will be limited. You’ll pay in advance (we’re planning for four week subscriptions), and pick up will be either at our urban farm or at the market on Saturday mornings.
